This trip was the best I have ever experienced. It was absolutely brilliant. The football, the laughs with the boys in the house, the girls and especially the dinners – they were delicious. It was class. I met new friends and beat the Galway boys in Sing Star. This has been an experience which will stay with me until the hour of my death. I would like to say a special thanks to young Tommy, old Tommy, Clive , Terry and a very special thanks to Padraig Quinn who always did his best for us. Thanks a lot to you all.

Warren The Wonder Kid Conroy.

I don’t want to write too much because I am on my holidays but to sum up the Kennedy Cup - it was the best week of my life, win, lose or draw.

Mark Keenan

It was a great week with Warren beating the cleaner in darts. Terry’s cooking and Lefty’s jokes, oh and all that football stuff. For all who come down next year, it’s the best fun you will have all year. The football is great and sure the craic was mighty. Fergal was great craic but never got me the pizza.  Eoin O’Reilly is a legend. It was the best week of my life. Terry wasn’t a very good cook !!!!!

Ray Connellan

The trip to the Kennedy Cup was the best week ever. It made all the hard work since October worth while. Results didn’t go our way but it was brilliant crack. Fergal is a legend and the Galway boys are sound.

Roy King

This is probably going to be the most memorable week of my life. Thanks Clive for the chops.

Paddy Connolly

This week was one of the best weeks of my life. In all my 13 years and 262 days I have never experienced anything like it. I was gutted to miss the 2 big group games -  that could have been me scoring Eoin O’Reilly’s wonder goal.(over 500 views on U-Tube). I enjoyed the crack and Fergal’s missus. Pity he never brought us back our Pizza. Ah no – the week would not have been the same without him. In Limerick, I made lots of new friends and picked up a new nickname. The jerseys were lethal, getting all the looks as we walked past the Limerick boys with our names on our backs. I was disappointed we didn’t get better results but what can you do – at the end of the day we did our best. Thanks to Clive, Tommy and 12 year old Tommy. I would like to wish Terry a speedy recovery. Thanks a million to Mr. Quinn for his time and commitment. We would not be here without him. At least we beat Galway in the Euro 2008. Colm – you’re useless and Andy is a legend. Thanks lads from the one and only Ronald Mc D.

Seamus Byrne

This week was absolutely brilliant. It was one of the best weeks of my life. It was a pity that luck didn’t go our way. I would like to thank all the managers, physios and all other people involved in the week.

Ruaidhrí Mc Manus

The Kennedy Cup week was the best week of my life. It has been such a laugh with all the lads and the Galway boys. It’s a pity we didn’t do better in the week. The luck just wasn’t with us. All the work and effort put into this week has been amazing especially the lads who worked for us. I’m sure all the lads gave it their all and I’d like to thank them for that. Last but certainly not least, I would like to thank Tommy Mc Callon, Tommy O Brien, Terry O Neill, Clive O Neill, Fergal Connolly and of course Padraig Quinn of the ADSL. I hope I haven’t left anyone out.

Conor Rohan

This week was pure class. I had such a laugh with all the lads especially Conor, Paddy, and Eoin. The 2 Tommies, Clive, Padraig, Fergal and Terry were all good crack and it wouldn’t have been the same without them. We should have done better in the tournament after all our preparation and hard work. Thanks to all the adults for organising the week.

Aarron Curley

The Kennedy Cup week was the best week of my life and will be until I die. I got a lot of experience from this week. The football was of high quality and intense. But if there was no craic, the week would not have been the same. Beating Galway in Euro 2008 Xbox was class and the crack with them was brilliant. I would like to say a special thanks to Clive, The Two Tommies, Terry and Padraig Quinn. Terry was a brilliant cook. And the last thing is the jersey with our names on them. This was the best week of my life.

Ciaran O Reilly

It was class. All the work and training was worth it in the end.

Michael Mc Mahon

The week was unreal. Our hard work paid off but we were unlucky throughout the tournament. The last night was great crack with the very first Athlone v Galway x-box final won by Andy”Captain Fantastic”. Funniest lad of the week goes to Eoin O Reilly. I will never forget it.

Ben Carty   (PS – Biscuits & Gravy).

It was great craic. Food was great, Galway are sound but they couldn’t play PS2 to save their lives.

Ronan Morris

Still no sign of the Pizza, Fergal  - Ciaran

This week was the most memorable week of my life. Although we did not get the results on the pitch it was great crack off the pitch. I never felt so close to a group of people before. Next year we will be a serious force to be reckoned with.

Andy O Sullivan

This week was a great experience for me and I really enjoyed myself. The performances on the pitch were mostly good but luck was not with us. Off the pitch was great. I would like to apologise to Terry for scoring the best goal of my life and hurting his leg. Fergal’s cooking was great. Biscuits & Gravy.

Eoin O Reilly

The Kennedy Cup was a great experience and has set me up for future football. The Kennedy Cup is the best competition I will ever play in at this level. It’s great fun and whether you win, lose or draw – it’s a great week but it’s just a bonus if you win. It’s a week I will never forget. Terry – don’t go onto Hells kitchen because you will be kicked off for giving people food poison – only joking. What happens at the Kennedy Cup – stays at the Kennedy Cup.

Mark O’Connor

The Kennedy Cup week in 2008 was by far the best week of my life and I will remember it for years to come.It was a great experience and the crack was absolutely mighty. We must have been the most unluckiest team in the whole tournament. A huge thanks must go to the management of Clive, young Tommy, old Tommy, Terry, Fergal and of course Padraig – don’t know what we would have done without him. The man knows how to cook a mighty fine fry.

Darra Pettit

The atmosphere in Limerick was unreal. Hundreds of lads all there for the one reason. I have made a lot of new friends and there’s a buzz in your mind whenever you see each other knowing how we enjoyed the Kennedy Cup on and off the pitch. For a lot of us – this is the biggest tournament we have ever been involved in. Although we were unlucky, we have all benefited from the experience of taking part.

Ben Carty

The Kennedy Cup was one of the best weeks of my life. It was great crack. Playing against Galway in the xbox final was brilliant. Thanks very much for everything.
